Bring your dinner, picnic basket, blanket and family members to the Pavilion lawn to enjoy an evening with friends and neighbors. Westray’s Finest Ice Cream will be available to purchase dessert. Prehistoric World will be providing entertainment with a 1-hour presentation and a 1.5-hour live demonstration with various reptiles to keep the kids amused.
Prehistoric World is a family owned and run organization that focuses on research, education, propagation/preservation, conservation and outreach. They work with around 200 species, focusing on endangered and extinct species. They also provide sanctuary for surrendered animals, offer rescue and rehabilitation, as well as take in DEC confiscations. From being the Executive Producer of an award-winning wildlife documentary series, to training USFWS, DEC and law enforcement on how to handle venomous snakes and crocodilians during drug raids and illegal animal confiscations, Prehistoric World is an industry leader in helping animals and educating children and adults from around the globe.
To help fund their critical work, and to continue to help other vital conservation organizations, Prehistoric World offers an open to the public facility, and public and private events. This includes corporate events, school assemblies, birthday parties, library programs, university lectures, etc. They love making education FUN and look forward to giving you a lifelong memorable experience and making a difference in conservation and the natural world.
