Performing a variety of volunteer services on behalf of the Woodlake Community Association.

This Volunteer Liability Waiver and Release shall be effective from the date of execution until expressly revoked in writing by the Volunteer named above. The Woodlake Community Association has the ability to terminate this agreement at any time.

The Volunteer understands and agrees that he or she is under no obligation of any sort to provide any services, assistance, labor, materials, etc. for the benefit of any other member(s) of the Woodlake Community Association, but elects to do so anyway based on a spirit of community; and in consideration for being afforded the opportunity to benefit from performing acts for the good of others.

The Volunteer is aware that his or her volunteer work can present potentially serious risks of injury or death. The Volunteer also understands that the contemplated volunteer work may also involve unanticipated risks of injury-whether through acts of nature or otherwise.

With complete awareness and knowledge of the foregoing, and in consideration for being afforded the opportunity to benefit from performing acts for the good of others and the community, the Volunteer agrees to waive or release any and all rights that he or she, or his or her heirs, may have to make a claim against the Woodlake Community Association, its respective successors, attorneys, and employees and all other persons acting on behalf of them, their successors, predecessors, divisions and subsidiaries (collectively, "Released Parties"), arising from any damages, injury, or death which the Volunteer might sustain or which might occur as a result of his or her volunteer activities. The Volunteer therefore agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims which the Volunteer might make or which might be made on the Volunteer's behalf by others. Similarly, the Volunteer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Release Parties from any claims which might be made against the Volunteer by others, arising from the volunteer activities. In fact, the Volunteer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the

Released Parties for any injury, death, loss or damage to any real or personal property which might occur during his/her performance of volunteer activities, whether the injured party is the volunteer or a third party.

In sum, the Volunteer agrees that the Released Parties shall not be held responsible for (and are hereby released) from any liability, claim, loss, including loss of property, damage, personal injury, or expense suffered by him or her or anyone claiming through him or her, related to any activity connected with the Released Parties, including but not limited to, any sustained by a third party and caused by the negligence or gross negligence of the Volunteer during the course of performing volunteer activities. predecessors, divisions, subsidiaries, present and former officers, agents, This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. In the event any portion of this Release shall be declared invalid, unenforceable or void by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions of this Release shall remain in full force and effect.
