Woodlake Community Association

Welcome to Woodlake

Hi Neighbor!

Welcome to the community, and welcome to “life on the lake!”

There’s a lot to take in as a new resident to Woodlake. We’ve organized the most important information you need on this page.

As a Woodlake resident, you’re able to enjoy over 13 miles of wooded walking trails, common property “natural areas”, beautiful waterfront views of the Swift Creek Reservoir and more. In addition to the natural elements, Woodlake has two large outdoor swimming facilities available to all Woodlake residents and their guests.

Along with the lake and trails, you can enjoy an abundance of recreational activities. Exercise and fitness options are available through the Fitness, Swim and Racquet Centers. And there are plenty of quiet spots when relaxation is on your agenda.

If you have a question that we were not able to answer, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You can stop by the WCA Office (open 9:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday-Friday) at 14900 Lake Bluff Parkway, give us a call at 804.739.4344 or CLICK HERE  to send us a note.

Resident Portal

Your Woodlake Resident Portal is the place where all “Key Documents” and “Woodlake Resident-Only” information resides. Each Woodlake resident set-up their own “household” portal with a username and password the family can use (much like you would with an Amazon account).

There is no need for each family member to have a separate login.

If you would like that we can help CLICK HERE and let us know.

You set up your HOA payment preferences in your portal.

Please contact the association a week or two after your closing date and provide us with your email address. We will send you a link that will allow to set up your resident portal. Once you have set up your portal, you can easily access it from the Woodlake website using the LOGIN button at the top right corner.

Woodlake Communications

Staying up-to-date is easy at Woodlake. We use several methods of communications to suit your preference.

woodlakeva.org – Here is where you’ll find everything you need as a resident of Woodlake. Check the website often for all events, meetings and community information.

The Weekly Digest – Our weekly email newsletter. The Digest publishes recaps of board, committee and other community meetings. It also lists what’s happening in the next few weeks with links and details with key time and date information for anything taking place the community.

Text Messages – You can sign up at your portal to receive text messages and get updates coming from the WCA. These are particularly helpful in the summertime with weather affecting pools hours of operation.

Bulletin Boards – There are several bulletin boards throughout the community with monthly calendar of event posted.

Woodlake Resident Passes

After you set up your portal, you can request Woodlake Passes for your household. Every member of your household will need a pass. Our passes are electronic and saved to your phone.

Where do you need a pass?

Residents will use their pass to check in at the outdoor Pools – this is where they’re used most.

You will also use your pass to check into some activities at Woodlake. Your pass is your “proof of residency” for community events and parties where a registration is required.

If you choose to have a membership to the Racquet Center (tennis and pickleball) or the Fitness Center (indoor pool and gym), you will use your pass to check in there as well.

Your pass also stores your “guest passes.” When you have a guest join you for an event a guest pass is debited from your electronic pass.

Woodlake Community Volunteerism Makes Things Happen!

Woodlake is governed by an elected seven-member Board of Directors. In addition to the board, there are several committees on which Woodlake residents can serve.

The board and committees are made up of Woodlake residents volunteering to be responsible for the maintenance and operation of all the common facilities on behalf of Woodlake property owners. This includes enforcing covenants and architectural guidelines, collecting assessments, offering community events, and maintaining and enhancing landscaping along the parkways and neighborhood entrances and facilities such as parks, playgrounds, bike trails, stop-a-whiles, and boating areas.

Volunteer opportunities exist outside of the board and committees as well. Lifestyle Services, the department that manages all Woodlake family-friendly activities, is always looking for volunteers to help with community events.

If you have an interest in volunteer opportunities in Woodlake, CLICK HERE and let us know. We can share additional information with the appropriate area.

Trails, water and nature are the things that make Woodlake special. Being developed in the early eighties Woodlake has features that would never exist in a development today.

When in season, there is so much fun in the sun at Woodlake’s two outdoor pool facilities. Both pools offer plenty of chairs, lounges and shade for anyone who just wants to soak up the sun – but not too much sun.

The recently renovated pool at the Swim and Racquet Center (the SRC) features a family recreation pool area with a giant slide, whirlpool and jetted attractions. You can “splish and splash” in the deep end or get your feet wet at the zero-entry section of the pool. Come by the Aquatics and Fitness Center (the AFC) outdoor pool and enjoy an upper pool with a slide or the lower pool with the mushroom fountain.
