Woodlake is continuing the wonderful tradition of partnering with The Angel Tree Program! Every year, our community comes together to help our most vulnerable children and adults with special needs receive something for Christmas.
Social service agencies and schools refer families to The Salvation Army for help with Christmas. Participants are interviewed to verify that the family is truly in need. The Salvation Army then obtains the names of each child or special needs adult in the family and a list of their desired Christmas gifts. The wish list items that these individuals put together is ALL that they will get for Christmas.
Generous donors like Woodlake residents select Angels, purchase gifts, and return them to Lifestyle Services by the given deadline. The gifts are taken to a Salvation Army Christmas Distribution Center for the Angel families to pickup the seven days prior to Christmas Eve. This tradition allows Angels in need to experience a festive and joyful Christmas.
Lifestyle Services will work with the Angel Tree Foundation to choose an individual for you that meets your selections. Lifestyle Services will then email you to stop by the WCA office to pick up your individual’s Wish List.
