6 Questions Asked of Each Board Candidate:

1. How do you describe Woodlake to other people?
Woodlake is a family and pet friendly community. The neighborhoods are warm and welcoming. I have not been here very long, ( 2 years ) but I have really enjoyed living here. The wildlife is a welcome sight as well.

2. What do you consider to be the primary functions and responsibilities of the Board of Directors?
The Board of Directors job is to keep every resident happy, safe, and thankful for living here. The Board also needs to be a steadying presence when disagreements come up. The Board should take our community’s beauty, safety and celebrations seriously. Fun should be encouraged. The Board is required to be firm as well as fair.

3. What personal characteristics/skills do you possess that you believe will enhance the performance of the Board?
I am a very good listener. Being the Mom of 5 and Grandmother of 7, I am pretty good at conflict resolution if necessary. I love to have fun and celebrate big and little wins. With my birthday falling on July 3rd, I know how to celebrate our country’s birth.

4. What is your experience, attendance, and/or participation in board and/or committee meetings at Woodlake?
I have not attended any meetings. I was not aware that I could.

5. What do you feel are the main issues and/or concerns confronting Woodlake over the next 3 to 5 years. 
HOA fees, housing prices ( too low or too high ) safety should be the main focuses for the Woodlake Board.

6. Residents have expressed concern over the upkeep and conditions of Woodlake Community common and/or open space as designed under the master plan. As a candidate, do you have a vision, or can you share your thoughts on this topic?
I do not have a master plan of my own but I hope that any questions or concerns by the residents would be addressed or talked about at the least.
