Bring your dog, as long as they are not aggressive and have all their shots up to date, to the AFC pool for a swim. No dog required if you just want to watch! Come on down to the AFC Pool for a barking-good time (and please bring Fido’s poop bags, just in case!).
There will be free giveaways until they are gone. At 6:50pm, we will announce the resident-voted winner of the Woof of Woodlake Contest. Please see the Woodlake website for more details.
Scoop-A-Doodle Doo will be stopping by to deliver the ultimate ice cream truck experience for pups and people alike! They will be serving from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
Beginning this year, we will be entering and exiting from the lower gate. Please walk as if you are coming to the main side gate check-in for the AFC, but go further to the gate close to the end of the black fencing. This entry and exit gate will allow us to have a “dog park entry and exit” into and out of the pool area, and is much safer. Thank Jim Eyerly and his team for their efforts to keep every dog safe, one at a time!
Please note that all smaller dogs must stay at the little, shallow pool and the big dogs must stay at the bigger, deeper pool as much as possible. This keeps the little dogs safer from the big dogs, and it allows the big dogs to play with their bigger friends. Understandably, your dog may disagree with this decision – just keep a watchful eye to keep running off to a minimum. There may be exceptions to this rule, such as a senior dog who is a little slower and enjoys their quiet time swimming, and is more comfortable with the little dogs. Please use your best judgement to make it a good experience for all of the dogs and residents at the event.
